Comment by John Lowe on July 28, 2012 at 4:05am Am I proud to be British this morning ? YES, what a fantastic opening ceremony at the Olympic Games, the story was gripping, the effects stunning, and the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron capped it all, experience past on to the youth, now for the competing.
Comment by John Lowe on July 26, 2012 at 4:57am There is a big buzz in the UK right now, the main topic: Olympic Games, on TV, Radio, in all the news papers, even talking about it in the pubs and clubs, I did not think people would be so interested, tomorrow night is the opening ceremony, but believe it or not, the games have already started, the Ladies Football began yesterday, GBR team defeating New Zealand 1-0, just heard, the budget for the games is 9 Billion Pounds, the return expected is 13 Billion Pounds, not a bad investment.
Comment by John Lowe on July 23, 2012 at 3:44am This is the Parliamentary in House Magazine, that asked if darts wanted to be included in this, the last publication before the start on the Olympic Games in London, it is full of Olympic news, how London secured the games, memories from past Olympics, which sports should be included etc, a great opportunity for darts to champion their cause, LOST.
Comment by John Lowe on July 23, 2012 at 3:14am Finished my birthday weekend off with a day at the Open golf, and it was superb, managed to catch all the top players in action, had a Hello from VJ Singh, met him many years ago, signed loads of autographs (most in the Bollinger Tent) and listened to a great winning speech from Ernie Ells, felt sad for Adam Scott, I have been there, I was 3-0 in sets up to Bristow in the world pro, and managed to lose, as they say "It's never over until the fat lady sings" now it's back to the dart board, and of course to the golf course to try out those new immaculate chip shots I was privileged to see yesterday, never to old to learn.

Comment by Brian Jackson on July 18, 2012 at 1:16pm They seem good at collecting money. Costs each member country $900-1000/year to be members + $1 for every player in a WDF sanctioned event...
Comment by David Brook on July 18, 2012 at 5:31am An opportunity to be able to have a feature in The Parliamentary Magazine is incredible....an opportunity to communicate to everyone in Parliament and the numerous others associated with Government is not to be missed. These people can make things happen. I know this as for many years my Brewery were the main suppliers to the Houses of Parliament and they have the power to make things happen.
