It's that time of year again, the Lowe's move out to Tenerife for one month, charge the batteries, take in some sun, golf, and the John Lowe Golf charity classic, followed by the Legends of Darts show, Eric Bristow and Bob Anderson, plus the voice of darts Russ Bray, will be joining me at Chipeque Pool Bar, Los Cristianos, for a great night of darts, the local league have canceled their fixtures on the day, so the turn out will be big numbers, we have resident BBQ chef Ian at the grill, and Paul at the speakers, expect a late one ! you bet, will update from the Reef.

My darts supporters get younger, let me introduce you to young Harry, a great young guy, who certainly likes his darts, this was at my exhibition on Friday night at the Crown Carvery, Brucefield Farm, Livingston.

Enjoyed a great weekend with the golfing Icon, Peter Alliss, it was the David Nicolls Spinal Injury Foundation Golf Classic, David is head of Mandarin Oriental, and does a great job fundraising for this important charity, top chefs take part, including Michell Roux, the world renowned 3 star Michelin Chef, the auction on Sunday night raised a staggering $200,000, you can imagine, the food was out of this world, and the golf ! a win for one John Lowe with 38 points.

After playing for a week or more on Unicorn's new High Definition, Eclipse Board, I find it does everything it says on the packaging, the white wires are certainly more clearly to see with the eye, they appear to make the sections bigger, that cannot be a bad thing at all, the square numbers are not for show either, they contribute to the overall, good look effect, of course you notice the difference when going back to the earlier version, which in itself is a quality board for amateurs, and professionals alike.

A new independent darts group has been formed in the UK, offering 10 events, with £10,000 to the winner of each, easy to put down on paper, but will it happen ? I hope so, but think a no go.

A big sense of pride in the Uk after the success of the Olympics, it seems very quite now, trying to find something to watch on TV again !!

Indeed, well said John.  Sid created an air of excitement in his commentary, and his enthusiasm and passion for darts will be truly Missed in our darting community.  Rest in peace Sid.
