Well if you missed the start of the PL last night, you missed one of the greatest come backs in darting history, Phil Taylor was 5-0 down against Adrian Lewis, and came back to take the draw at 7-7, incredible darts from Taylor, pure class. Andy Hamilton making his debut, beat James Wade quite easily, Whitlock made a draw with a in form Barney, and Kevin Painter, also making his debut, beat a poor Gary Anderson. So, top of the table go the 2 new players, Hamilton and Painter. There was 8000 spectators at the Arena, Darts is certainly going places.

The PL starts tonight on SKY TV from Manchester, I was just looking at the line up: Hamilton v Wade. Whitlock v Barney. Painter v Anderson. Lewis v Taylor. Is there a betting lead in there? Maybe, it's the World Wide Premier League-WWPL, A £20 Accumulator bet placed on: Wade.Whitlock.Painter.Lewis, would return £635 if they all won, interesting !

For all you BBQ friends out there, this is for you. For the first time whilst on Holiday, I came across a Indian BBQ, it was superb, and I wonder why I have never thought of doing it before, marinated Chicken Tandori, Tika, King Prwns, and Lamb Buna, cooked over a hot fire, and drizzled with lemon juice whilst cooking, served with Pilau Rice, Jacket Potatoes, quartered, and sprinkled with Paprika and Garlic, and Nann Bread cooked over hot flames coated in Garlic Butter and Coriander, a Curry sauce of your taste to accompany. Fantastic Summer or Winter BBQ food, and the neighbours will love it !!!

Back in the UK after a great break in Tenerife, my good friends opened their new bar the day after we left, I managed a sneak preview and a cold beer though, if you are ever in Tenerife, call in and say hello, it's a fine place to be.

Watching England struggle to win the world cup pairs final last night, was at times painful, Lewis looked like he would sooner be anywhere than playing a pairs game at close on midnight, Taylor took it all in his stride, and so did Whitlock, who did nothing wrong except miss the winning double.I wish someone would inform the PDC, they did not invent the world cup, a certain Bristpw/Lowe partnership won the world cup pairs 6 times: 1977/9,1983/5/7/9, the reward was a gold medal, I guess the sport was very much amateurish in those days, but we played our heart out for our country.

The holiday is almost over, back to the ice and snow in the UK, was hoping my flight would be canceled for a week, but no such luck, so it's time pack, say our goodbyes, and face up to the fact, it's going to be cold.

It is true, the better the players you play with the better you become, or should become. I played golf yesterday with 3 guys, one was 4 handicap, one 2 and the other +2, I instantly concentrated more, I knew I was in serious contending company, I was out driven on all the driving holes, sometimes by 60yards or more, but I found the green on all par 3's from the tee, and my putting did not let me down, how did I do? 30points in a strong wind, second out of 16 players, and the winnings where enough to take me and Karen out for a nice meal. Moral: "The best will always bring out the best in you"

Ahh I see what you mean John/ That is always something I have done (held my darts that way). Though I have found that last 3-4 Months maybe? My forearm does move visually out to the right (not getting the straight follow through to and down the board). I was seriously thinking of getting one of what the Asian players call "arm sleeve" you were them like a very thinh shirt under playing shirt but the sleeve does stop sideways motion of the arm (abit like a material brace so to speak). Firstly though I will give that a go with rolling my wrist so I have a direct line for follow through to the board.
